Spring marks the start of something new. For Piedmont High School’s Jordan Hahn, spring marks a return to the pitch and another season of soccer with her teammates. This season Piedmont will face new challenges, but Hahn said they are ready.

“I think our team has a ton of potential this season we have been a close group these past few years and we have accomplished so much. We are ready to accomplish more and prove everyone wrong in 6A. We had a bit of a rocky start at the beginning of the season, but we are starting to figure things out and we are playing really well together. I’m excited to see how this season goes,” said Hahn.

Being a student-athlete representing Piedmont High School is a big responsibility, but Hahn said it’s one she and her teammates accept.

“What I love most about being an athlete at piedmont is that I get the opportunity to play for something bigger than myself, I get to play for my community, and I get to do it with all my best friends,” said Hahn.

The senior has played soccer since the age of three and during that time she has played with many teammates. Hahn said everyone on the team is supportive and encouraging.

“I love how supportive my teammates are on and off the field and how everyone wants the best for each other. Emerson Curd has truly inspired me this season, she has torn her ACL twice and had concussion early this season and she has worked so hard to get back after her injuries and her hard work is paying off this season, she is such a great player, and she inspires me to be better,” said Hahn.

Hahn continues to work on her game to ensure she’s ready for game day.
“I have been working on taking players on 1-on-1, I used to be a player that would only run past the defenders and shoot but now I’ve been better about taking players on. I play center forward and sometimes I play in the midfield,” said Hahn.

After graduation, Hahn plans on attending UCO to play soccer and study criminal justice. Eventually she would like to work for the FBI. Away from the field, Hahn said she enjoys tanning and going to the lake.
