2024-2025 El Reno Lady Indians Basketball – Presented by Jim Eischen – Shelter Insurance

Coach: Jennifer Douglas

23-24 Record: 28-0

OUTLOOK

How many people had El Reno winning Class 5A last season? The team and the fans knew they were a legit threat. El Reno rolled through the state tournament bracket before taking down Sapulpa in a memorable performance, 48-41. Head coach Jennifer Douglas is excited to see what this team can accomplish coming off that win.

“We are coming off a title win and an undefeated season. Three starters from last year, return. We will still run an up-tempo offense, look to score quickly in transition. Defensively we like to mix it up from time-to-time. Our team is excited to hit the ground running and continue to be a solid 5A team who plays in the state tournament year after year,” said coach Douglas.

Lilly Thomas (6-1, Sr.) makes her return after averaging 9.9 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.6 blocked shots a game. Her production is crucial to the overall success of the team, but she is not doing it alone. Emmary Elizondo (5-8, Sr.) starts at guard where she averaged 8.7 ppg, with 3.2 rpg, 1.8 apg, and 1.7 spg. Raegan Bugaj (5-2, Sr.) can score from multiple spots on the floor. Last season Bugaj averaged 10.9 points and 2.5 rebounds a game. She’s also a terror on defense averaging 2.6 steals per contest. Bugaj joins Thomas as a VYPE Top 100 selectee.

Eryn RomanNose (6-0, Jr.) will play forward giving the Lady Indians another person down low who can battle for rebounds and score in the paint. RomanNose averaged 3.2 points and 2.2 rebounds a game as a sophomore. Also look for Phallyn McHenry-Guzman (5-5, Sr.) at guard where she brings athleticism and depth to the position.

Other players to watch include Juliana Thomas (5-2, Jr.) at guard, Layni Wright (5-8, Jr.) at forward, Maddie Moss (5-8, Sr.) at guard, Halli Ferguson (5-6, So.) at guard, and Delilah Sandoval (5-6, Jr.) at guard.
