2025 Piedmont Wildcats Football Preview – Presented by F&M Bank Piedmont

PIEDMONT WILDCATS

Coach: JEFF HALL

7-5

OFFENSE

Nine starters return offensively for the Wildcats under seventh year head coach Jeff Hall. Piedmont operates out of the flexbone and will rely upon a good nucleus of players that bring excellent leadership after gaining valuable playing time as underclassmen last year. Scott Logan (6-1, 280, Sr.) will look to gain control of the line of scrimmage for the Wildcats and will be joined by junior Sean Maguire up front. In the backfield, Carter Hainrihar (6-0, 180, Sr.) at running back is one of the players that can make the flexbone offense so potent for Piedmont. Sophomores Knoxton Rallo and Brooks Baccus are also options at running back for the Wildcats. Junior kicker Noah Ward is a weapon that has to be mentioned.

DEFENSE

With the loss of Mikah Rocco, Lane Whitworth, and Ethan Shelton in the secondary the Wildcats must find athletes to fill those valuable defensive backfield positions. Solid defensive line play will allow those new secondary players to develop in their own time. Defensive end Cane Wood (6-4, 220, Sr.) will look to allow those newcomers in the defensive backfield to settle in as will junior defensive lineman Willie Cruz. Tatym Stahlman (Jr.) brings valuable experience at linebacker. Cornerback Brogan Dietz (5-10, 165) must draw upon his experience to provide leadership and steadiness as the lone defensive backfield returner. Sophomores Rallo and Baccus will also be important pieces that need to develop into their roles at defensive back and linebacker respectively. Coach Hall has high expectations for this Wildcat team but will need to see the secondary develop to compete against the mainstays in Class 6A Division II like defending state champion Choctaw, runner-up Muskogee, along with semifinalist Sand Springs and Stillwater.
