
VYPE: Cali, what’s your favorite subject in school and who is your favorite teacher?
Cali McReynolds: My favorite subject in school is science. My favorite teacher is my 8th grade English teacher Rachel Anderson.
VYPE: What grade are you in and what position do you play?
CM: I am in 10th grade, and I am a setter/right side hitter.
VYPE: Who inspires you?
CM: My sister, Taya, inspires me to be a volleyball player. She is who I look up to not only as a person, but as an athlete. She plays volleyball at Oklahoma Baptist University, and she is who I strive to be. I want to follow in her footsteps and become not only a great volleyball player, but a great student and person on and off the court.
VYPE: What do you love most about your team and teammates?
CM: What I love most about my team and teammates at Yukon is that everyone stuck it out throughout the entire season, even when things got difficult.
VYPE: What was the biggest surprise this season?
CM: The biggest surprise this season was the growth in intensity. This team has developed and grown stronger and faster throughout our season. Everyone bought in and supported each other to become better volleyball players and people.
VYPE: Do you have a favorite moment from this season?
CM: My favorite moment from this season was when we came back to reverse sweep Mustang in the Choctaw tournament.
VYPE: Which teammate is the most vocal and who keeps everyone laughing?
CM: The teammate that is the most vocal is Payton Milhoan, she is consistently talking to other blockers at the net and communicating where she wants her sets to be. The teammate that keeps everyone laughing is Blake Knecht.
VYPE: Do you belong to any clubs or groups at school?
CM: I am in the National Honor Society, and I play volleyball for Oklahoma Peak 16-1 Elite.
VYPE: What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
CM: In my free time I enjoy hanging out with my sister watching basketball and hanging out with my friends.
VYPE: What would you like to do after you graduate?
CM: After I graduate, I would like to play volleyball in the NCAA and get a degree in forensic science.
