Mustang’s Kaitlyn Weston – Cheer Spotlight – Presented by Excel Therapy

While Kaitlyn Weston is cheering for Mustang High School, we are cheering for her!  A Sophomore on the Varsity Cheerleading squad, Kaitlyn chooses discipline and focus to keep her motivated.  Although she received high points at tryouts, she knows she has to keep her eye on the prize and work hard to stay on top.

Kaitlyn is influenced by her peers, coaches and instructors.  Her freshman English teacher, Ms. Walker was especially inspiring, encouraging Kaitlyn to keep trying and always put her best foot forward.  She keeps this in mind as she sets the example for younger athletes who might be paying attention.

Teammates are super important when they bring out the best in others.  Teammates like Izzie Jones, Kenzie Hamilton, and Lauren Slaton have had a huge impact on Kaitlyn and she carries the positive lessons she’s learned from watching these fellow student athletes.  They cheer for her too.

Kaitlyn hopes to always be someone younger athletes can look up to and wants to represent her sport and her school to the best of her ability.  Walking in confidence and learning to trust her instincts has set the tone for her success as she also cheers on Senior Coed level 5 for Tribe Cheer.

Kaitlyn gives credit to her parents for molding her into the person she is today and setting such a good foundation for her to work with.
