Heidi Bond is a dedicated and passionate sports mom who goes above and beyond for the
Mustang High School Basketball program. Heidi’s commitment and enthusiasm have not
only made her an invaluable asset to the program but have also earned her the well-
deserved nomination of Mom of the Month.
When asked about her favorite aspect of being a “sports mom,” Heidi responds with
genuine joy, “Watching my children pursue their passion.” Her love for witnessing her
children excel in their chosen sport is the driving force behind her unwavering dedication
to the basketball program.
Heidi’s inspiration to go above and beyond for the basketball program is deeply rooted in
her children: “My inspiration is my children. I ask them to give 110% in all that they do, so I
always want to do the same for them!”
Currently serving as the President of the Mustang High School Basketball Booster Club
Board, Heidi’s journey began with humble volunteer work at the concession stand and
attendance at Booster Club Meetings. Her involvement escalated when her son graduated,
and her daughter joined the team as a freshman.
Reflecting on her favorite memories as a basketball mom, Heidi finds it challenging to pick
just one. With all three of her children participating in basketball, the journey has been
filled with numerous accomplishments, awards and travels.
To Heidi, being an involved parent means prioritizing her children and their aspirations.
“Being an involved parent means supporting my children and their dreams!” she said. “I
always put my children first!”
Heidi believes that her greatest contribution to the program lies in her consistent presence
and support. She aims to make things easier for coaches and more enjoyable for the
players. Looking to the future, she hopes her efforts will contribute to building a solid
foundation for the program.
Acknowledging the collaborative nature of her journey, Heidi expresses gratitude for the
support she has received. She highlights the contributions of moms Jeanelle Craig,
Cassandra Burnett and Jennifer Engles, as well as Jay Holland, the gentleman behind the
amazing popcorn at the concession stand.
Heidi concludes by expressing her gratitude to the Mustang Basketball Coaching Staff and
the athletic department for their unwavering support and guidance. She feels blessed that
her daughter, Yanna, is part of such an incredible program led by Coach Bass, who not only
aims to develop players but also nurtures them as exceptional students.
