VYPE: Which professional athlete do you look up to and why?
Davin: I really like Fransisco Lindor. He is always positive and always has a smile on his face. He plays the game the way it’s supposed to be played, and he is a great teammate that keeps everyone’s heads high.
VYPE: When and how did you first get into playing your sport?
Davin: I got into baseball when I was four. My parents put me in tee-ball and I just fell in love with the game and haven’t stopped.
VYPE: What has been your favorite memory of playing?
Davin: My favorite memory would have to be with my travel team. Every time we travel, we stay in a hotel and we play spike ball, corn hole, hide and seek, and we often have cookouts.
VYPE: What is your favorite part about representing your high school as an athlete?
Davin: My favorite thing about representing my school as an athlete is just seeing everyone show up to the games. The atmosphere is great.
VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?
Davin: My sport has taught me to have a good work ethic and to stay consistent in everything I do.
VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?
Davin: My favorite part about being on a team is watching all of my teammates grow. The best feeling is when you see your teammates working hard for the team to succeed.
VYPE: Why are you passionate about your sport?
Davin: I’m passionate about my sport because it brings me joy. It teaches me how to better my life outside of baseball, and it’s fun.
VYPE: What is the best advice that anyone has given you?
Davin: The best advice I’ve ever gotten would have to be, “keep a good work ethic and work hard in everything you do and don’t find the easy way out.”
VYPE: Here is your chance to give a shoutout or say thank you to anyone you wish.
Davin: I want to give a huge thank you to my parents and my grandmas. Without them, I wouldn’t be where I am today.
