Players to Watch

Bridge Creek

Davin Shamblin – El Reno

Davin started every game for us last year as a Freshman, he has the tools to be as good a player as he wants to be. Last year as a freshman SS he hit .355 with 1 HR, 13 2B, 19 RBI, 21 R and 7 SB. Davin will also pitch a lot for us as he threw 46.1 innings with a 4.68 ERA and 46 K to only 19 BB, while recording a 4-3 record last year. Davin has great hands and good range at SS, he will hit leadoff for us this year, with a blend of speed and power. Davin is one of our hardest workers, he puts quality work and reps in and it shows in his results, we are looking for even better things from him this year..

Weston Thomas – Piedmont

Weston is a 6’5″, 205 lb, outfielder, who runs an 6.8 60, is 86 MPH from the OF, and he is only a junior. As a sophomore he hit 3rd all season with a .450 AVG, .516 OBP, 45 H, 7 2B, 4 3B, 37 RBI, 35 R, 16 BB, 14 SO, 21 SB. This kid looks the part, he plays the part, and is a great kid and teammate. He keeps everyone light with his humor but knows when to be serious and understands the fine parts of the game. He is one of the top 2024’s in the state!

Alex Conover – Tuttle

Alex is really strong for us both on the mound and at the plate. He also spends a lot of time catching and is a solid leader for us on the field. Alex will also mix in at 3B and SS as needed. He is signed with Cowley County for 2024.

Braydon Armstrong – Union City

The NOC-Enid signee has left hand power punch at the plate.  he has a great baseball IQ as well.  The catcher can close games out on the mound as well.

Underclassmen to Watch

Mason Fulton & Hernan Blanco – El Reno

Mason Fulton, OF/P, Freshman, 5’9″ 155, S/L. Mason is a talented Freshman with a plus arm. He will start in CF for us while also contributing from the mound. Mason can hit from both sides of the plate, which he has worked really hard at. He has a high upside and we are excited to see what he can do this season.

Hernan Blanco, Uty/P, Soph, 5’10″180, R/R. Hernan is another good practice player and worked hard in the off-season to improve his skills. He played some last year as a Freshman for us, so we expect him to make a jump this year. He can play several positions and will pitch some for us. We are counting on his bat to be productive as he’s improved a lot in that area.

Luke Hill – Piedmont

Luke will be our starting shortstop as a freshmen. This kid’s defensive IQ’s may be on of the best I have seen out of any player I have ever coached as a freshmen. He has physical tools to put with it as well. I’m excited that I get to watch him play over the next 4 years!

Hunter Watson – Tuttle

Hunter is verbally committed to OU as a freshman. He has a ton of upside, but he is also really solid right now as a youngster. His fastball will sit 88-91 and he can really pitch. Hunter will have a lot of responsibility catching for us as well. He is very solid and calm behind the plate. Way more mature of a player than his age shows. He played in the Perfect Game Select Festival this past summer with the top talent in the country. He is also ranked as the number 1 player in the 2026 class in Oklahoma by Perfect Game.

ROCKY Carroll – Union City

This kid is smooth as butter at SS.  He also is filthy on the mound.  Already starting to get schools contacting me for his info.

Unsung Hero

Ty Vincent – El Reno

Ty is such a great teammate, he will do anything for his team, and would never ask for anything in return. Ty is always encouraging his teammates, shows up with a positive attitude everyday, practices hard, and does all the extra and little things without being asked. He is a yes sir, no sir kid, and is a quite person by nature, but his attitude and actions speak volumes as he is a program guy and will do anything to improve himself or his teammates. We are very proud of him!

Logan Hill – Piedmont

Logan will be a 3 year starter at 2B for us this season. He has hit over .300 2 years in a row, .348 last season. He is the brother of Luke and has as high as a baseball IQ. This kid works his tail off, leads by example, and would be very fitting of this award. He isn’t the best athlete we have, he doesn’t throw the hardest, etc but he is one of the hardest workers and may be the toughest competitor we have. He shines in the big moments!

Brady Shackelford – Tuttle

Brady does whatever we need him to do and does it with full effort and a great attitude. You may see him catch one day and play centerfield the next. He is a fiery competitor and a good leader in our program.

Tyler Norton – Union City

big game pitcher who keeps doing well every outing.  the 6’4 RHP is unsigned still and I DO NOT KNOW WHY!
