Q&A with El Reno’s Madison Rochdi – Presented by Jim Eischen-Shelter Insurance

VYPE: Madison, when did you start playing soccer and what grade are you in now?

Madison Rochdi: I started playing soccer in second grade, I am now a junior.

VYPE: Where does that work ethic come from?
MR: My work ethic comes from wanting to be seen on the soccer field I was always overlooked so it made me want to work harder.

VYPE: Your coach calls you the glue of the team. What does that mean to you?
MR: Being the glue to the team means a lot to me. It shows that my teammates and coach have trust in me and see my leadership on and off the field.

VYPE: What is your favorite memory as a player on the field?

MR: My favorite memory is recent. I scored a goal from about the 25 and coach Klipp started jumping like a little girl.

VYPE: What is your strength and what have you improved on the most?

MR: I would say a strength in my skill set is that I am mentally tough I don’t let little things get to me. The thing I have improved the most is my shooting.

VYPE: What do you love most about your teammates?

MR: I love that even though we can fight like sisters we can come together as a team when we step on the field.

VYPE: Who inspires you?

MR: My biggest inspiration on and off the field are my parents they have pushed me and haven’t given up on me. They were there at the times I wanted to quit playing soccer because of getting overlooked.

VYPE: What are your plans for the summer and life after high school?
MR: My plans for the summer are to get stronger and better for next season. The plan for after high school is to attend Seminole State College and study business.
