GIRLS

Coach: Roy Wyckoff

22-23 Record: 16-10

The Millers finished the season one game short of the 6A state tournament last winter, falling to Putnam City West in the area tournament two nights after defeating rival Mustang. The good news for Yukon: Head coach Roy Wyckoff and his staff bring back four full-time starters from last year, six total players with starting experience and the top three leading scorers from last year. Gabby Tilley (5-7, Sr.), an NSU commit, received first-team Central Oklahoma Athletic Conference honors last year after she scored 16.7 points, pulled down 5.1 rebounds, dished 2.6 assists and swiped 3.2 steals per game last year. Kenlea Jefferson (5-1, So.) put up a team-second-best 10.6 points per game in her debut season and led the team in total 3-pointers made with 62. “[Jefferson] is a tenacious on-ball defender with the ability to score at all three levels. She is an elite shooter with an explosive first step. She is an elite competitor and is

never afraid to take the ‘big shot.’ Look for her to take the next step in her sophomore season,” Wyckoff said. Caid Jefferson (5-5, Sr.), the team’s only other senior with Tilley and an Oklahoma Christian University soccer signee, had 7.7 points per game to go with 4.5 assists, 5.4 rebounds and 3.2 steals as a junior. “Caid is a four-year starter in both basketball and soccer. She was third-team All-COAC as a junior,” Wyckoff said. “She has been a part of three straight area tournament appearances on the basketball court and a part of two quarterfinals and one semifinals appearance in soccer.” Kalli Harbeson (5-5, Jr.) had 2.6 points and 1.3 steals per game as a sophomore, earning a starting role midway through the year. “Kalli exemplifies elite work ethic, attention to detail and coachability,” Wyckoff said. “She is an elite defender and shot nearly 50 percent from 3-point range as a sophomore. Look for the junior guard to take a huge step in the 23-24 season.” Payeton Jett (5-4, So.) earned a varsity suit in her debut season and “is the example of what positive energy embodies,” Wyckoff said. “Her love for her teammates is contagioius and she makes everyone around her better.”
