
VYPE: What grade are you in and what sports and clubs are you involved in?
Aubree: I am a senior at Mustang High School. I play softball and I am a member of the National Honor Society.
VYPE: What accomplishment or memory are you most proud of?
Aubree: One of my biggest accomplishments was overcoming the challenges that occurred during my junior year. It was a rough year, but I managed to make it through and come back better my senior year.
VYPE: What is your favorite part about representing your high school as an athlete?
Aubree: My favorite part about representing Mustang High School as an athlete is showing my pride for my community and building lasting friendships.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you?
Aubree: Jade Ashbaugh is the teammate who leaves a lasting impression on me. She will always pick me up, but she is not afraid to tell me when I suck. Jade is very compassionate and competitive in the sport of softball. She does anything for her team.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade?
Aubree: My favorite teacher was my eighth grade math teacher, coach Palmer. He always had many ways to explain things to make sure each one of his students understood. Coach Palmer never failed to lighten the mood and make us laugh.
VYPE: Who inspires you?
Aubree: My Nana is my biggest inspiration. She is so strong and prevails through any challenge. She is always so loving no matter what.
VYPE: What is the best advice that anyone has given you?
Aubree: As simple as it sounds, the best advice anyone has given me is to “never give up.” At one point in my career, I was ready to be done but those around me encouraged me to keep going.
VYPE: Which professional athlete do you look up to?
Aubree: A professional athlete I look up to is Lexi Kilfoyl. She took a big role for Oklahoma State and kept a level head through it all.
VYPE: What is your all-time favorite meal?
Aubree: My all time favorite meal is steak with broccoli.
