With heartfelt passion, drive and love for each other, Emily Ryan cherishes the opportunity to be a Tuttle Tiger and sharing her high-energy spirit as a high school varsity cheerleader.
After a childhood first experience at age five, the 2023 Tuttle senior joined the school program in the seventh grade and acknowledges how the opportunity to be part of the winning ways of the Tigers cheer program has furthered her individual growth.
“Because of this awesome opportunity, I have grown a lot in communication, confidence, and teamwork,” Emily said with a voice of appreciation. “Thanks to being a cheerleader at Tuttle, I have a very strong work ethic and very strong friendships that will last forever.”
Ryan admits being a cheerleader at Tuttle has high performance expectations.
“My coaches have shown me what passion is for cheerleading. They are the reason I am where I am today. I feel at home while being at practice as well as in our competitions. They are family to me.”
As one of two seniors, Ryan and Ella Mitchell strive to lead by example.
“Leadership has its demands. That includes always being positive and setting a good example, but also taking initiative and making sure the team stays accountable,” said Ryan. “During my final year at Tuttle, me and Ella have been working together and trying to lead our teammates to success. We always encourage, stay positive, and push everyone to keep going through the challenges we face.”
It’s a developmental approach that she will use in pursuit of her career after high school.
“I am going to become an Internet crimes against children detective and will major in computer forensic and psychology,” she explained. “Having passion is what makes me who I am, and I believe that’s why I have so much love for my career path as well as cheer.”
And according to Emily Ryan, passion is the heartbeat of being a Tuttle Tiger.
“At Tuttle, you can always count on your team and even those around you at school. We all have the passion and drive to be the best and win, which is why WE ARE TUTTLE!”
