YUKON MILLERS
Coach: BRENT BARNES
1-9
OFFENSE
The Millers will base out of 11 personnel with emphasis on an efficient inside run game and the option to spread the field by featuring returning talent within the receiver’s room. Quarterback Holden Kee (6-1, 200, Sr.), who displayed promising speed, decision-making and overall command over Yukon’s offense before an offseason broken leg sidelined him the whole year, is the team’s expected starter for Week 1 against Westmoore. The dual-thread quarterback will share the backfield with Logan Day (6-0, 200, Sr.), the team’s returning feature back and one of three returning starters for the Millers. Yukon’s offense will feature a dynamic pair of receivers with vertical advantage in Lucas Jones (6-2, 185, Jr.) and Kenison Rogers (6-1, 175, Sr,). Jones is a baseball standout; Rogers runs track for the Millers. Receiver Bayler Weaver (5-11, 170, Jr.) rounds out the returning players in the position group. Drake Ellis (6-1, 225, Sr.) is the veteran of the offensive line and will be chiefly responsible for clearing the way for Yukon’s explosive ground game.
DEFENSE
Like its offense, Yukon’s defense returns three starters from last year. The Millers are looking to sure up a defense that allowed 38.5 points per game in 2022; It will base out of the odd stack and will feature a trio of returning upperclassmen within its speedy secondary. Carter Creach (6-1, 185, Jr.), Austen Tur (5-11, 170, Sr.) and Kaden King (6-0, 175, Sr.) bring their seniority and versatility to the third level. Destry Lujan (6-0, 205, So.), though only a sophomore, brings punishing tackling to the linebacking corps. Fellow backer Lucas Reyes (6-1, 200, Sr.) displayed his strength and ability to fit gaps in his game appearances as a junior. Jackson Farley (6-1, 255, Sr.), a sizable prospect who also stars on the wrestling mat, is the veteran among the front three
