OUTLOOK

The Yukon Millerettes bring balance, experience and young scoring into the new season with expectations of being among the most competitive teams in their district. Head coach Roy Wyckoff leads a roster that thrives on tempo defensive pressure and a willingness to share the ball.

“We have an exciting team that will play fast and pressure defensively. We have a lot of talented underclassmen and some experience as well. We feel like our pace and defensive pressure will be the key to our success,” coach Wyckoff said.

Senior guard Kenlea Jefferson (5-4) headlines the team as a four-year starter and elite shooter. With the 1,000-point club within reach she leads both by production and by example. Juniors Paige Fulmer (5-10), Haydin Bowman (5-7) and Tayler Pivniska (6-0) solidify the core rotation with size, perimeter skill and dependable defensive play.

Freshman standout Amira Harrison (5-2) immediately strengthens the lineup. Her quickness scoring instincts and confidence give Yukon a dynamic playmaker who can attack from multiple angles. Also look for Kalee Morey (5-8, Sr.) at guard and Vera Hansen (5-7, Sr.) at forward. Other players to watch include Leah VanHouten (5-5, Jr.), Natalee Johnson (5-8, Jr.), Taylor Brakefield (5-9, So.), Chyve Jenkins (5-2, So.), Kamiyah Porter (5-11, So.), and Raelyn Williams (5-9, So.).

The Millerettes expect to play fast, defend with intensity and use their depth to wear down opponents across four quarters. With strong leadership and an exciting freshman class Yukon enters the season prepared to compete at a high level.
