
VYPE: What do you love most about softball?
Awbrey Dover: Having a team that can help build you up and being able to count on others to be there for you.
VYPE: Why are you passionate about softball?
AD: Softball is not just a sport. It teaches many things that will help you in the future. It is a way to learn about yourself and a way to teach you how to problem solve.
VYPE: Who inspires you and why?
AD: My parents. They show me that I can make mistakes and that it is a strength that I can learn from and not a weakness. They have shaped me into the person I am today.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
AD: Margo Martinez. She is one of my closest friends and knows how to give me great advice. She shows me how good of a person and player I can be.
VYPE: Here is your chance to say thank you to anyone you wish.
AD: Thank you to my Nana, Papaw, Gigi, and Papa for never missing a game and being my biggest cheerleaders from day one.
VYPE: What is your favorite memory of softball?
AD: The team bonding exercises we completed. They helped shape us as a team and were some of the most fun tasks I have done in my career.
VYPE: What is the best advice anyone has given you?
AD: The best advice I have received is to never take things too seriously and to remember God always has a plan for us.
VYPE: Do you have any hobbies you want to share about yourself?
AD: A favorite hobby of mine is definitely reading. My mom probably thinks I have spent way too much money on books. Mrs. Payne who teaches English, gives me very good book recommendations.
VYPE: What is the most memorable vacation you have taken and why?AD: The most memorable vacation I have been on is without a doubt Hawaii. It has the most beautiful views and I learned a lot about the Hawaii culture.
